Day trip to the town of Hvar (island of Hvar)
The island of Hvar is a familiar place for us. We spent almost a year of our lives there, walking through the narrow streets of the town of Hvar, experiencing the changing seasons and taking in many impressions.
And yet, around ten years ago, our journey took us further afield – to the island of Vis, which still gives us a feeling of belonging to this day. The tranquillity, simplicity and unhurried island life here gave us exactly what we were looking for – and what we want to share with our guests.
At the same time, being curious is part of travelling. Perhaps there is a quiet thought of wanting to see Hvar at least once. Maybe just for a few hours, without the desire to spend the whole holiday there. For moments like these, there is the option of a day trip from Vis. Various connections make it possible to leave in the morning and return in the evening – back to a place that feels calm and familiar.
The old town of Hvar is small, lively and quick to explore. If you wish, you can combine your visit with a dip in the sea. There are various small beaches around the town or on the offshore islands of “Pakleni otoci”. There are non-stop boat connections from the town of Hvar to these beaches.
However, Hvar is particularly vibrant during the high season – colourful, loud and full of activity. For some, this is an enjoyable experience, while for others it can be rather exhausting. A day trip to Hvar can therefore be a welcome change – a glimpse beyond the horizon without losing your own peace and quiet.
And at the end of the day, the bay Rogačić on Vis awaits you again: quieter, slower, more relaxed.
